Blind Skateboards was founded by Mark Gonzales and Steve Rocco in 1989 and was part of World Industries, a brand that has significantly influenced street skating. Thanks to Gonzales' leadership, Blind quickly rose to become one of the most respected brands. The team around Gonzales, Guy Mariano and Jason Lee was as unique as the revolutionary, sometimes provocative graphics. With Video Days (1991), Blind was able to manifest its influence in the scene. The video is still considered one of the most innovative skate videos of all time.
After the split of Gonzales, who now owns his own brand Krooked Skateboards, Blind remained relevant for a while with videos like "Tim and Henry's Pack of Lies" before brands like Girl or Chocolate dominated the market. However, Blind Skateboards continued to exist and is now a part of Dwindle Distribution. After several changes, the Blind team today includes people like Tj Rogers, Cody McEntire or Kevin Romar. Graphically, Blind still focuses on the popular Reaper graphics and flashy colors in comic style.
