Anti Hero
Julien Stranger and John Cardiel decided to start their own company Anti Hero Skateboards in 1995. Todd Francis designed the logo, the infamous Anti Hero eagle, which is surely not entirely innocent of the brand's long-lasting success. Anti Hero is a part of Deluxe Distribution, which also unites Real, Krooked, Thunder, Venture and Spitfire under one roof.
Besides the aforementioned Eagle logo and high quality boards, Anti Hero is considered one of the most influential brands in skateboarding history. Team riders like Grant Taylor, John Cardiel, Julien Stranger, Chris Pfanner, Brian Anderson or Peter Hewitt make sure that the classic Eagle board is effectively featured in numerous videos and magazines far above pool coping or on wicked street rails. The Anti Hero team is made up of hardcore street and bowl skaters who won't take any compromises. No frills, no gimmicks, just raw skateboarding is what has defined Anti Hero for over 20 years. The videos of Anti Hero clearly put the fun of skateboarding in the foreground and renounce elaborate productions and cuts entirely. "Tent City" or "Cash Money Vagrant" are classics among skateboard videos and have definitely left their mark on all transition lovers of a generation.
